The city of Burlington is located in the region of Halton.  The following are considered acceptable bulk waste materials that can be disposed of at your curbside in Burlington and throughout the region of Halton;

  • Windows and mirrors (to avoid glass shattering, place tape across in an “X” pattern)
  • Wood (fencing, picnic tables, shelving, skids, doors, etc.), dismantled, bundled and tied no larger than 1.7 m x 1 m (5 ft x 3 ft) (one bundle equals one bulk item) - no nails
  • Furniture (couches, chairs, tables, mattresses, etc.) 
  • Flooring (carpets, under padding and linoleum), bundled and tied in maximum 1.7 m x 1 m (5 ft x 3 ft) lengths (one bundle equals one bulk item) 
  • Toilets

Here are some things may be important to you if you are new to Burlington.
